The Olympia Info Globe (also marketed under other brands, such as Sharper Image and Discovery), is definitely Old School, but it's VERY visible, even from a distance. This is why we purchased another one to replace the once we've had for the past 18 years. Used devices aren't likely to ship with a manual, but you can Google the product name and model and the word "manual" and find instructions. great when it wants to run
works fine for most of the time, but likes to shut down and has tro be shut off for a few seconds. then turn it back on and it may run most of the day, but you don't know when it has to rest for a while. when it is running it keeps perfect time, the displays are great, but it just goes blank when it wants to.

I already had one in the family room and loved it so much that I wanted one for the bedroom.
