    Kodak Easyshare DX7590 Camera

I owned one of these until a few years ago when it was stolen. It worked great, with good image quality, even when enlarged. I paid about $250.00 when I purchased the old one, and looked on line to find a replacement. I was happy to discover that they are available for less then $30.00. I was able to purchase the entire Telephoto and close-up lenses are also available if you can find the right adapters. Kodak is out of business, but the original Owners manual is available online. This is not a $500.00 camera, but does a great job for me. I was fortunate enough to find one with the carrying case, dvd, charging station and power supply included.

  • Top critical review

    Bummer...., but nice try, anyway.

Well, this is one of those things that just didn't work out. The camera would be sufficient, but had a few problems. First, I noticed the flash failed to flip up when pushing the button. Seems that the little spring had sprung. Second, I tried to use the SD card. The camera failed to accept ANY SD card. I even tried a new card, no luck. The camera did, however, operate an external flash okay. All in all, I decided that even though the camera did seem to take pictures okay, I decided it just wasn't useful enough to keep and donated it to Goodwill. Sorry, Kodak.

  • A quality feature-loaded camera for little money.

I bought the whole kit used for $50. I am very well pleased with the pictures which compare favorably with any of my 35mm SLR's. Has plenty of pro-quality features and manual options. Also has a socket for an external flash unit, a huge plus for extending flash range not often found on this type of camera. The high quality Schneider lens more than makes up for the lack of megapixels, being that the quality of the lens is what really makes the picture on any camera. If your budget will only allow for a cheap digital camera, a good used one of these is the better choice. Also, battery packs, accesories and SD memory cards are cheap and plentiful for these cameras. Until I can afford to step up to a professional-level DSLR, the DX7590 will continue to meet my needs.

  • Great camera if you don't mind a bulky camera.

I had the DX6490 which works great until my wife left it out in the rain. Was looking for an upgrade with same features. Newer cameras have more MP but lower optical zoom. It may be missing some of the features of newer cameras but stiil canstand on its own. 5MP is enough for a point and shoot(4x5),the schroeder lens is top of the line, has great features, you'll apreciate the rechargable battery, and you can't beat the price.

  • Kodak Easy Share DX7590 Digital Camera is an Excellent Value

This is an EXCELLENT, easy to use camera. Great picture quality...nice zoom...can enhance pictures (red eye, lighten/darken, 10X zoom, crop, rotate, etc) with the online photo edit. Has a sports, snow, fireworks, portrait, horizon, etc settings...picture review at the click of a button. Has a slot for a memory card so you can expand memory easily. Cord plugs from camera right up to the computer so you can easily upload your picutres. Light weight.
