My mistake when ordering this according to the exact specs I needed. However with that being said got the engine the packaging was awful all this shredded thick paper also the oil from the engine was everywhere. Thankfully the shredded paper absorbed it. I was going to return again my mistake however their return place and stamp goes through USPS to which they don’t ship things over 75lbs. Lol the engine is over that weight on top of all the paper and box. Pretty smart thinking for returns. 😡

Great engine
The engine is great. I had to tap the four mounting holes which took less than 30 minutes. Added oil and fuel, it started with recoil on the third pull. I worked around engines for close to 40 years and this unit is as good as they come.

Great replacement for a 36” Ariens
Used this engine to repower an Ariens 36” pro and it works great. I gave it its first test this weekend in 10 inches and about 24” bankings and this engine performed great. Very strong. I recommend.

I wouldn't buy this again
The plug for the electric start isn't a American plug. So that leaves you searching for a adapter. The engine was shipped without instructions. It does run smoothly and is fairly hard to crank with the pull cord.
