Hoya filters, fantastic images, reasonable pricing.

Hoya filters are great for at their price range. They have clean and full effect on the whole lens field , which in turn gives you consistent balance to your image. The minus one star that many filters in this price range, is that are little more prone to "lens flares" than, the higher priced range of the filter family. That is only a minor problem which can be reduced by lens hoods, and noticing the position of the sun or lighting, if you are staging a shoot. Over all, the quality of the filters I say are excellent.

  • Excellent filter with awesome optics at great value.

bought the product because i was going to potentially sandy and wet areas of Australia, and i was happy with the same product of other diameter so i just bought the same thing at different size to protect all my lens (only fitted at the location) the product is excellent, i tried with and without it, exactly same ghosting and flares, so it means its just my lens not the filter. As expected sand flew and sea spray was all over the place, the product did its job, but it is very irritating to clean. the best way to clean is blower and lens pen. Microfiber cloth is hopeless for this product. if you grab the lens the frame can rotate, for the price, its fine. In terms of UV filtering, i would say its useless for digital. My ultra zoom shots with and without were identical. In terms of IQ ...

  • Great Filter !!

I really like these Hoya UV Filters the quality is excellent . I have Hoya filters on all of my camera lenses. The multicoating is far superior to similar priced UV filters , and equals the quality of filters costing 4 to 5 times greater .

  • Great UV filter for the money.

I've never been disappointed with Hoya UV filters. All my lenses are equipped with Hoya filters including my latest 77mm lens. The best reason for a filter is to protect your expensive lens from the elements. But you also want a good filter so there are no discernible effects on the pictures you take. Spend a little more and get a Hoya.

  • Great filter for the money!

I own three Hoya UV filters and one Skylight. I always keep one on each of my lenses. The amount of UV that is blocked by the filter is questionable, but their primary purpose for me is to protect a very expensive lens and do no harm to the image. The Hoya UV does that job quite well.
