The first one imediately got hot.
I bought 2 batteries I opened one, after 3 shots my camera got very warm, the battery was hot. I didn't try the other one and haven't had time to resolve this with the company. They listed that the battery is compatible with my camera the Canon Power Shot ELPH 300. In fairness to the manufacturer, I haven't contacted them yet.
