  • This little jewel will blow your mind

This is a marvelous little camera. I bought it to my girlfriend, but I'm in love with this thing. I have the previous model,a Canon SD1300, wich is excellent, but compared with this, seems like an another century camera. You won't find anything so good at this price and size. It's hard to describe how good it is, since I'm brazilian, but I'll try: Fast, solid, easy to use, incredible ISO quality for its size, thanks to the CMOS sensor technology, full HD video and excellent lens (wide, bright and with a respectable 5x zoom). And, of course, it's so beautiful... I just think it could have more controls, but, anyway, it's a point and shoot. You can put in the auto and close your eyes, and this tiny jewel will do a fantastic job.

  • Good, handy camera. I bought three of them!

I took this camera (my wife has her own ELPH too) on two vacations, shot hundreds of pictures, used a variety of settings, in a wide variety of situations, and ended up with some really nice pics. The auto setting works very well in most situations. Picture quality is very good when the lighting is neutral or dim. When I was shooting a subject with a very bright background, the subject always turned into a silhouette. A forced flash made it work, but the results were much different than what I was seeing. The compact size is one of its best features. I was able to tuck into my pocket and climb to the top of a mountain without any problem or hassle. The 5x zoom comes in really handy. Got some great shots when we went to the zoo. Be sure to use the supplied wrist strap! My 3 year old ...

  • This camera is working well and I am happy with the quality of the pictures

I wanted a camera that would take good indoor or night time (low light) pics that was easy to use and not to big to put in my purse. I make quilts and wanted to take pictures of them to share with my friends and family on line. This made it important that the camera capture the colors accurately and that it be easy to get the pics from the camera to my computer. Also, I wanted a zoom so I could get close ups of the quilting stitches while still wanting to be able to stand back and get a good shot of the entire quilt. I love to take pics of my family and did not want to have to deal with the whole red eye thing. To my pleasure, the pics are really nice and sharp. The colors are true and the camera is easy to use. The software that came with it was quick to install and is easy to use.

  • worth every cent, a great camera to take all kinds of pictures,

I was looking for a small camera that I could carry with me on my trips around the world. I took lots of pictures with it and I can say, this camera is woth every cent. Landscapes, portraits, snapshots with friends and especialy pictures in barely lighted romms are fantastic. This camera captures these moments really good. The different modes are also pretty useful. Amplifying colors or using the filters are nice things to play with, the results look like they were taken by a much more expensive camera. The only wekness are pictures in total darkness. Like taking a picture of a city skyline at night and far away. There is just no way to get enough light on the sensor. But as I said, pictures in bars, restaurants and on low lighted streets are no problem. Torsten

  • Awesome video options

As a ski instructor there are two things that I needed this camera for and they are both centered on the video options. I use it primarily while teaching and training, which allows student(s) to see what they are doing from a new perspective, observeing their movements while being focused on what they SEE not what they are doing.. Huge help! Additionally the Slow-Motion option lets me get down to the mechanics of movement in greater detail, simplifying analysis and improvement. A light weight camera is a necessity since it is usually mounted on my helmet and the terrific Image Stabilization on this camera yeilds clear video even on bumpy terrain. Awesome!
