Just an awesome little stove
What can I say. It burns solid and gel fuel just fine, but who needs that when you can use sticks. This stove burns small sticks very efficiently. They burn hot for quite a while. Just love this stove. Best money spent in a long time.

Great idea - hard to keep the flame going.
I had trouble keeping the flame going when I had a pot on it, and trouble bringing the water to boil as well. I'm guessing there is an art to running it well that would keep it going, but it was not easy on the first try. The flame would get going great for a short while, but wouldn't maintain that level of perfection for long. Once it was running for a while, it seemed like the ashes blocked air intake from the bottom, so I had to blow on it from the top to keep it going.I had trouble keeping the flame going when I had a pot on it, and trouble bringing the water to boil as well. Experimenting with my wood gasification stove
I’ve used it once now, so I need to give it more time and experimentation to appropriately rate it, but only 3 stars for now. It was slow to get it going, and I had to keep blowing on it to keep it going. But my wood source (twigs) may not have been dried out sufficiently, and part of what I used were wood chips meant for smoking with charcoal, and I think they kind of smothered the flames by not allowing proper ventilation to take place. As it was, it took a full 12 minutes to get 16oz of water boiling. Also, it was dirty, getting my pots very much blackened with the flames. I used my MSR Pocket Rocket stove for comparison. It requires a gas pressurized canister of iso-butane, and that took only 2 minutes to boil the same amount (16oz) of water, and didn’t blacken it’s pot at all. ... Another thing, was that it took a surprisingly long time to burn off coals after I was finished with it, so the “cool-down” took quite a long time. But there is quite an appeal for me with the idea of wood burning with gasification, so I expect to find it fun to keep working with it.

*bought elsewhere* I love this thing. I have used multiple types of fuel: wood, pellets, isopropyl alcohol, petroleum jelly on cotton balls, possibly others. Never had any problems getting a fire to light and stay lit. It's very sturdy and never feel like a pan won't sit properly on it. I use it camping, and store it inside a small sauce pan with lid. Get it! It's great!

Great for camping.
Nice piece of kit. I would not recommend this for Thru Hiking. It's bit heavy and takes up a lot of space in your pack. However for bushcrafting or camping its the perfect stove.
