ViewSonic VP171b 17" LCD TFT Monitor
This monitor will function well in games and productivity. There is a slight LCD lag in games but barely noticeable with 2010 Starcraft 2. It has 1 digital input and 2 analog inputs. One can switch between them with a switch on the monitor. The monitor will swivel so that it can be switched between horizontal mode to vertical mode. There is an on board soft switch to do this and is not automatic. It can adjust up and down and it will tilt(in either mode). There is no external transformer so it is a standard-computer-plug-to-wall-cord. As noted in the title it is only 17" diagonal or 13.5" x 10.25" actual dimension of viewable screen. I find this a bit more "square" than the current crop of wide screen monitors. I am using these monitors as a set of 2 in dual monitor mode on windows 7 and ... I bought these two from two separate places and the total for both was about $125.00 to my computer desk. Excellent considering the features.

A++++ ViewSonic VP171b (Black) 17 inch LCD Monitor
This is an amazing screen. There is nothing I don't like about it. It features a great resolution and refresh rate. The thing also has 2 VGA and 1 DVI port. What more could you ask for? I decided to buy it since I have 5 others just like this that I use in the office. I have simply NEVER had ANY problems whatsoever with any of them.
