    BEST FOR APRS

    This is the BEST! Once you take the time to read the book, then it becomes easy. It locates the satellites FAST. It sends that info to the interface board for transmission and you can see all of that info on the display as you travel. I have had this model a while back and then had given to me another model, IT DID NOT WORK AS GOOD, so I bought this unit!!

    Best for my application.

    Purchased two identical units to replace my Garmin 45. The display went bad after many years of use in my ultralight. Having an extra one gave me insurance of longer time in case of display malfunction. My reason is because I find these units excellent for my application. Being designed for boats, their maximum speed is 99 knots, which is fine for ultralight flying since our speed never reaches that much. Despite been used, both units were fine and working properly. One of them had the internal backup battery exhausted and I had to replace it. These units have a larger storage capacity than the Garmin 45, with a 500 waypoints capability, is more sensitive and faster in signal acquisition and have some extras fixtures such as Zoom buttons and an interesting and quite complete "Find A City" ...

    Product is great but this one is defective

    This reciever appears to be in excellant condition, but certainly isn't. The display is so faded that it is only barly visible. I seriously considered returning it but did not only because I travel U S, Canada and Mexico and need a GPS like this to tell me the location of the Satelite that I need to pick up the signal for my Satelite TV. I am thoroughly familar with this make and model GPS and will state that the screen display on this one is no more than 10% of what it should be. I don't blame Ebay but I would never buy anything else from this person. Charles E Denton
