I did not want to pay a fortune for a new mixer and this one is perfect for the two of us...

My mom used to have an old Mixmaster that she got in 1960. I got it out of storage a couple of years ago, and used it....but I could see that it was pretty worn out, so I was hoping to replace it with a new one. So I bought a new one from this vendor, and it arrived pretty quickly. I was dismayed to see that it wasn't actually a "die-cast metal construction" body, as was written in the description, but rather the new model is made out of plastic. I'm sure that it will perform well, but miss the metal die-cast construction of the old models. So just be aware that this model is not made with a die-cast metal body. It is made out of plastic.

Have only used this once so far. It's the modern version of what I grew up with. I wanted these features: 1. two beaters. 2. a bowl that turns. 3. a bowl I can scrape as the mixer is running. Works just fine, but I can tell it won't handle stiff dough (such as yeast bread). It is less substantial than the "old" models, but definitely what I wanted for things like cookies, cakes and muffins.

Per the instructions it seems easy to use. I have not used it yet. The price is some what high and other colors would be great.
