The EA Sports blockbuster football game is back with Madden NFL 08. Focusing on "weapons," in game events, and features from previous titles, Madden NFL 08 offers gamers another chance to create a dream season alone or in multiplayer competitions. The "weapons" returns, and gamers can now locate dangerous players by reading weekly scouting reports, watching player introductions, and by using trigger buttons before the snap on the field. There are a total of 24 different "weapons" and they include big hitters, defensive linemen, running backs, and catch receivers. Each "weapon" has a counter-weapon that gamers must uncover in order to bring a potentially destructive competitor down. However, by completing the mini-games in "Franchise" or "Owner" mode, players can alter the attributes for each team member.<br><br>On the field, a number of events return including hurdles, player celebrations, and defensive hot routes. Now when a competitor is gearing up to lunge for the legs of the ball carrier, gamers can hurdle over them and avoid going down. After jumping over his adversary, the carrier can then make his way to the end zone for a touchdown and a celebration animation. Gamers can select from 60 different signature moves including Chad Johnson's "River Dance," Rex Grossman's "Gator Chomp," and Dante Hall's "X." In the trophy room, players can revisit victories by viewing awards for rushing and passing records and multiplayer competitions. Additionally, gamers can now create different rings to earn as they progress through the game.

    Favorite aspect is Trading and drafting players. Putting players on IR does not let you replace them on roster.

    **Madden NFL '08 Awesome Game/Review**

    By this point, you’ve probably read countless articles on TeamXbox and other gaming sites talking about how the first few next-gen Madden titles didn’t [insert tired football analogy here]. It’s not like the games were bad or anything, it was just that they weren’t up to our lofty expectations. Before out first demo of this year’s game, many of my fellow editors and I were all ready to dump a cooler full of Haterade on it. However, even at that early stage, we had a feeling that we were finally seeing the game that we had been waiting on for 3 years. The only question was whether or not the team at Tiburon could follow through and give us what we wanted. Let’s find out if they did, shall we?     very nice and great quality.

    I bought it because I had an older version that I like and now I like this one more.They made adjustments on the game that make the game more enjoyable and make certain facets of the game more realistic. An example would be the kicking game. Instead of hitting a button twice and hoping to hit it in a certain area, you can now use the joystick which allows kicking the football to be as easy as it should be.

    Madden 08

    It has deeper franchise modes which is great. The graphics are by far alot better than games from years past. I'm really suprised that the guys over at EA SPORTS even bothered putting it on the old platforms: PS2 XBOX 1 and Gamecube, which is really great. The new weapons system is awesome because it defines the difference between a speed back and a power back. I am really suprised that these upgrade made it to the older systems. If you have layed the past MADDEN games you can how this years game MADDEN 08 is such an upgrade from 2007 on XBOX. This is probably the last Madden for the regular XBOX so buy it before none remain!

    well i bought the game for my husband, it was my first time purshasing online and well it wasnt so bad it was easy and since i hardly have time to go out shoppin with work n kid well i think it went great. The only thing that worried me was giving my visa info and how long it would take to recieve the game. But it all turned out okay i got the game in a week and it was Brand new so the price was fair.
