    Surprisingly good

    I bought this CD while browsing for Depeche Mode material, but wasn't expecting to even if it *was* a member of said band having his own solo album. The CD at large contains darker and more powerful songs than what he's done with Depeche Mode themselves (whose songs are also dark yet sometimes delightful), but I like it. The discs themselves are of good quality, too.

    There is a reason most DM don't like this album. "Hourglass" proved to be MUCH better than "Paper Monsters." It is very obvious that Dave Gahan was in a place in his life with each one. It's not completely horrible, but I love Hourglass and did the very first time I heard it. This one is just ok.
