This bridge may have actually increased my sustain, though I don't beleive bridges change sound at all. When it comes to looks and quality this bridge is awesome. It should be an extra high mass bridge because holy cow there's a lot of metal. It's heavy too, I noticed a difference immediately after installing it. Overall I'd say the newer style looks cooler but this is just as good or better for nearly half the price. Not what i expected from Fender.
If this is really a genuine Fender part i am saddened. It looks just as pictured. But when inspected it i found that the combined width of the 4 barrel shaped bridge pieces was wider than the tray on the base they are supposed to sit down in. I will have to grind a little off the ends of the center ones so they can fit down where they need to be. It is just a minute amount that needs to be ground off. Could be possibly due to thicker chrome plating. It will work just fine. Just a paint to have to modify something that should be a bolt on. If this is really a genuine Fender part i am saddened. POOR DESIGN
This bridge looks nice BUT the saddle barrels which have these nice string grooves are way too big. The ridges one either side of the string groove go all the way around the barrels and severely limit your downward adjustment. I have tried to use this bridge on two different builds and on both when mounted I could not get the strings low enough for correct sting height. I was finally able to use this bridge by taking the barrel saddles off and replacing them with smaller barrel saddles from an older Fender bridge. Great upgrade for my Squier Am-St P-Bass! Bridge's and bass's screw holes met almost perfectly. Just needed to keep orignal bridge's saddles cause new saddles are a little too big. Installing and setting up was quite easy. Improved both sound and look!

Fender Korean made Mass
Korean made high mass bridge from Fender. I put this on my MIM Mustang, adds much needed sustain and low tone hold with little to no vibration. It does NOT have Fender pressed in on the face of the bridge so if you are looking for that, don’t buy it.
