I am a huge fan of the Gaither southern gospel music series. Many of the old-timers like Jake Hess, the Happy Goodman’s, George Younce, and Rex Nelon have passed on but they are still available on video tape to enjoy. The Gaither Vocal Band always turn in top-notch performances. Also, Anthony Burger the piano virtuoso who passed away suddenly on a gospel cruise was only about 46 years old; his music and his control of the piano is a performance you will not want to miss. You can purchase a cd of Anthony Burger on the piano and you can see a lot of these performances on DVDs, vhs tapes and on cds for music through the Gaither music store.I am a huge fan of the Gaither southern gospel music series. Gaither Homecoming Toronto Tour
Ihave an almost complete library of the Gaither Homecoming series. I would recommend them to anyone. They are relevant and timelywith the music never getting old. Some of them I have watched multiple times and shown them to friends multiple times. They are classics, every one of them. I recently purchased this DVD. Knowing that I would not be disappointed. Upon recieving it we watched it that very evening. I was right it did not disappoint, but continued in the same professional fashion as all of the rest. This may be the best Gaither album yet. I have most of the albums on either CD,VHS, or DVD and this one is outstanding. Penrod singing "Why Me" is extremely moving and wonderful. English and the Vocal Band on "I Cried Holy" is wonderful as well. Dixon on "Sanctuary" is at his best. I just got it 3 days ago and have already played it numerous times. I may wear out the track of "Why Me." The Easters "My Best Friend" is touching. There's something for everyone on here.This may be the best Gaither album yet.
