Plain looking Excaliber
This good quality Cold Steel sword is well balanced and very sharp. I ordered this Hand and a Half sword with the polished bare steel blade and there's also a less expensive version with black metal parts which requires less labor/time to produce. I would have liked a thicker handle and a narrow fuller on the blade, and also a more stylish, curved guard for appearance, but overall this affordable, plain looking sword is quite functional and after getting it, I ordered the Cold Steel Hand and a Half dagger for a companion piece. Now properly armed, I can look for evil dragons to slay and fair maidens to rescue.This good quality Cold Steel sword is well balanced and very sharp. Great sword
This a beautiful fully functional sword. I bought the hand & half and also the Italian longsword. I found no issues with either one. I've heard of issues with the cross guard being loose but based on the 2 I bought, I think CS has addressed the issue, or maybe I just got lucky. The Italian is a little easier to wheeled and the H&H is a little bit of a better cutter, but the difference is small. Both work well for cutting or thrusting. Just depends on what makes you happy. There is a very clear swoosh sound from both blades when edge alignment is good, making them both excellent training sword. You can learn a lot from these blades w/o actually cutting anything.
