Most of the controls are the same as the Virtua Fighter series. There is the addition of the new "evade" button, which allows your fighter to side-step into the screen and avoid attacks. And don't forget the breakable walls, hit your opponent with a power move and you might send them hurtling through a brick wall!<br><br>With 60fps graphics and light-source shading effects, Fighters Megamix combines tried-and-true gameplay with a diverse cast of characters.

One of the best fighters on the Saturn!!
A wild crossover 3d fighter from back in the day!! I picked this up day one being a huge fan of Virtua Fighter and Fighting Vipers. This game truly delivers having a both play styles from each game available so you can pick the best fit for you. Admittedly the graphics are not the best even for back then, but it does have some dynamic lighting effects on certain levels. Where this game shines is in the gameplay!! It plays great with top notch controls and if you are a fan of Sega 3d fighters you will feel right at home!! What makes this go from a good game to a great game are all the extras!! A bunch of unlockable characters become available as you continue to play the game. You get everything from Sonic fighter characters, to a Virtua Cop character, and even the car from DAYTONA!!! ... This game is friggin awesome if your a Sega fan. A huge number of fighters and really deep fighting mechanics. Not the best graphics in the world but hey, its the Saturn we are talking about here. What do you expect? This game is really deep which is why hardcore gamers will love it as well as easy to get into for the novices out there. Also the ability to play as crazy special characters really makes it fun. Who wouldn't love to fight as Sparks the Daytona USA Sega car!!!This game is friggin awesome if your a Sega fan. Fun fighting game!
Fighter Megamix is a mixual of Fighting Vipers and Virtua Fighter 2. The control is ultra smooth, the music is great and the graphics is excellent at its time. The good thing I like about this game is the amount (32 in total) of playable characters to choose from. Having finished the game, you can unlock different playable characters (some are pretty funky). The other good thing is the game is very smooth and fast. I feel that the fighting engine is even better than the Virtua Fighter 2 one. I remember having lots of fun fighting with my friend. Imagine seeing every SEGA character in a fighting game where characters like Virtua Fighter, Fighting Vipers, Virtua Cop, Sonic the Fighters, Daytona USA ,and the Rent A Cop series in a one HUGE brawl. This game has all 32 characters, but 10 of those character are unlockable after beating the game at a certain amount of times. There are also 4 modes such as, 1P mode(Arcade), Survival, VS, Team Battle and Training that will keep on the edge of your seat for hours !!!!Imagine seeing every SEGA character in a fighting game where characters like Virtua Fighter, Fighting Vipers, Virtua Cop, Sonic the Fighters, Daytona USA ,and the Rent A Cop series in a one HUGE brawl.
