Not the seller's fault, but USPS took an extremely long time to get this to me. TN. to CA. Order date: Mar 15, 2024, Delivered on Tue, Apr 2, 2024 At least it arrived undamaged. Package and label were in great condition, no issues at all. Manual was as described. I have to be honest and give a terrible rating for the shipping time, but as I stated, it was NOT due to the seller. I don't know what happened as there was no explanation in tracking, but USPS had some sort of unexplained issue.

Magellan GPS
I always have used Garmin but when my wife's went out, I needed to get her a replacement. I like the display much better but the feel is not as solid as the Garmin. The mount works but not as good as my Garmin. It's loose and has to be unplugged to release. I will give it a fair shot because it was a bargain price and I don't expect the same quality as you would get in a unit twice the price. I can say I Like the interface, display and overall navigation notifications better than Garmin. Great Navigation Unit
I really like the shortcut screen. This nav finds sat reception really quickly! I have AAA and it's AAA menu is very helpful to me. My favorite thing about this nav is the way you can put in all the places you need to go then tell it to make the most efficient route for you! The only complaint is the way the charger has to be plugged in after the unit's on the windshield mount when using the charger that comes with it. I use my old TomTom charger in the car so that I can plug & unplug it whenever I want. The good thing about the charger working the way it does is that if you take the nav down to store it then you'll take everything down so that no one knows there's a nav in the car & will not try to steal it. easy to use; simple to understand
very simple to use. this model doesn't include a lot of bells & whistles...but that is not what i wanted. i wanted something easy to use, simple to understand and to just keep me from getting lost. this does the trick! in unfamiliar territory it keeps me on main roads. i am very satisfied with my purchase. i didn't find the written directions to be overly simple but the unit itself is in most instances self explanatory. this is my first purchase of a gps unit. for the price & quality i feel i made a good purchase. i am NOT very high tech savvy at all, and i found this simple to use right out of the box. my daughter lives in pittsburgh, pa; which in my opinion is one of the most difficult cities to maneuver. every street seems to go in circles. i find this unit keeps me going in the right ... very simple to use. this model doesn't include a lot of bells & whistles...but that is not what i wanted. i wanted something easy to use, simple to understand and to just keep me from getting lost. this does the trick! in unfamiliar territory it keeps me on main roads. i am very satisfied with my purchase. i didn't find the written directions to be overly simple but the unit itself is in most instances self explanatory. this is my first purchase of a gps unit. for the price & quality i feel i made a good purchase. i am NOT very high tech savvy at all, and i found this simple to use right out of the box. my daughter lives in pittsburgh, pa; which in my opinion is one of the most difficult cities to maneuver. every street seems to go in circles. i find this unit keeps me going in the right direction. i also purchased the leather case made by megellan for this unit, it is a little pricey but well worth the money. it is very compact and fits into my purse with no problem. the case is very streamlined & fits the unit like a good leather glove. the case doesn't hold the power cord, i don't see the point in lugging around a power cord unless you are moving it from one vehicle to another. over all i am extremely happy with my purchase.

Good little compact unit
I expect the unit to do what was intended; as I will use it for GPS guidance. I tried it out locally, and it was functioning. While the unit was used, it looked hardly used, and for what I paid for it, it was less than what a rental car agency would charge for a GPS rental.

The Magellan RoadMate 1470 works well. Only one issue I have is in a number of instances I was in the intersections when it told me to "turn left or right here". It was late indicating the street. I used the Magellan 1470 on a trip to San Diego and it saved my %$& in San Diego even with the late turn direction a coulple of times. I have a Tom Tom and I like the size and features of the Magellan better. Over all good GPS.The Magellan RoadMate 1470 works well.
