  • Life time map updates, live traffic and bluetooth but route planning: meh.

    I bought this to replace the 2136T-LM Magellan RoadMate I'd used for several years. I like the simple display and the traffic indicator--very useful. The two models are very similar but with some noticeable differences. The display is the same, having a traffic indicator, volume control and a short cut to display points of interests for upcoming highway exits. The menus look identical and use the same process for creating a route. Both units allow for multiple destinations and will optimize the route for you. The noticeable differences: this unit offers Bluetooth (which I haven't tried since I already have a Bluetooth in my car) and it does NOT have a speed limit indicator (I do miss this and I think it affects the route planning--more on that below).
