The box outside was well packaged, but the item was not as described. I am not sure if it’s new, all the parts were there. However, the item itself was broken on the inside. I will try to make it work, but for 60.00 really not worth it. I wouldnt buy from this seller again. They did get it to me at the time expected, but they clearly knew the item was damaged when they sold it. The original box was smashed.

    Good technology at reasonable cost!

    The 5635T is a convenient size that is suited to both mounted and unmounted use. I use mine in a tray near the gear shifter and rely on the verbal directions which are sufficiently loud to be heard through radio and / or conversation. The 3D mode is helpful in locating destinations in unfamiliar areas.

    Fine for directions but poor for traffic reports

    I have owned several Magellan GPS's in the past and always been happy. With this model, however, I'm very disappointed. The traffic reports are very limited to only certain areas. I found this function to be basically useless. In fact, I called Magellan as I thought I was not doing the update properly but that was apparently not the problem. As far as giving you directions, it is very worthwhile.

    Magellan Roadmate 5635T- LM,

    This was a replacement for my Magellan Maestro 4700. It's similar, has additional features. My only negative is that the voice quality is NOT as clear as my Maestro 4700. Overall, seems to be fine. Gets me from point A to point B.
