In one phrase, this and perhaps most Sony cameras with similar form factor are not for the people who just want to take a quick picture with a point and shot camera. The problem with this and all similar Sony camera is the 'speed' of the lens Sony uses. This lens have a low 'speed' of f3.5. This is very slow for a camera lens and has the consequence that the camera needs to expose for too much time before getting a picture at anything but bright daylight. In other words, if you don't keep the camera perfect still for about a second while shooting (which is almost impossible while keeping the camera in hand) the pictures will be blurry. For this reason, this camera won't give good pictures if you just want to slide down the lens cover and quickly take a shoot. In my book, this means this is not a consumer oriented camera. Also, this is the worst flash I've seen in a compact camera. It covers such a short distance, that I think it's unusable for anything but portrait pictures at less than 3 feet distance. Now for the camera itself, it has beautiful functions, more than the average camera on the market. And when put on a stand while taking a picture, it takes amazing colored and smooth pictures especially on close up subjects - after adjusting manually some parameters.Read full review
Very easy to use and the photo quality is wonderful. I have been asked what I use as many have been impressed with my shots. I have bought another one to share with a family member. Although an older camera It does wonderfully for my needs totally recommend for a point and shoot type of photo taker..

I love this camera. I love the touchscreen, the photos it takes.. The one thing I dont like is its only 3x zoom. I wish it would zoom in a little more. otherwise.. perfect camera! very happy with it
