You can not help but love this one!

I love the humor of Houseguest. Wonderful actors really make this one. It is really crazy and funny. Things you would like to do when you see a parking space but would never do for one. It is kind of base humor but you can not help loving it.

    Very disappointed

Sadly this movie was disappointing, unengaging and a real yawn. Too bad for one of Phil Hartman’s final performances. Don’t waste your time or money on this. I absolutely love a good comedy and this one leaves you waiting to laugh. Lots of good actors in which their talents could have been utilized much better. I gave it two stars. One star was because I had to give a star and the other was because I loved Phil Hartman I’m at 4,671 letter images to use, but for the life of me I can’t think of anything else to say other than what I have above

  • Houseguest (DVD, 2002)

Sinbad offers some unusual advice on how to make friends in this wacky comedy. Kevin Franklin (Sinbad) is a guy who dreams of starting his own business. However, getting it off the ground is another matter altogether, and soon Kevin discovers that the two loan sharks who fronted him money want to be paid, and paid promptly, otherwise Kevin will be spending some time in the hospital. On the run through an airport, Kevin is trying to find a way out when he overhears Gary Young (Phil Hartman) wondering where his friend is. It seems that Gary has arranged a reunion with an old friend from childhood, but since he hasn't seen him in 25 years, he has no idea what he looks like today, beyond the fact that he's black. Kevin fits the bill that far and claims to be Gary's long lost ...

  • Single Greatest Movie Ever Created

Everything about this movie is hilarious. Derek Bond DDS, Kevin Franklin, Gary Young, Paulie, Joey, Steve (I mean ST3), Larry, Mr and Mrs. Pike, Happy... All Brilliant characters. This is my personal favorite of all time. Phil Hartman and Sinbad are a hilarious comedy duo (also starring in Jingle All the Way together). Here are just a few little scenes that make it memorable: advertisement[Kevin checking the contents of 'his suit bag'] Kevin: All right let's see what we've got... I don't care if it don't look good, just fit... [noticing the 'GFH' initials on the suit] Kevin: GFH? [he looks further and he found the brand tag] Kevin: Groverton Funeral Home? I'm dead... I'm *dead*... [guests wondering what 'GFH' ...

  • Houseguest DVD 2002 Sinbad and Phil Hartman

Where to start? This is the most HILARIOUS MOVIE EVER! Sinbad at one of his finest moments. You will be laughing you're head off from beginning to end. I was. Sinbad and Phil Hartman are hilarious together! Kevin Franklin (Sinbad) owes the Mafia $50.000, but can't pay them. So he pretends to be a longtime childhood friend of buisness man Gary Young, (Phil Hartman) and spends Memorial Day weekend with the family. Impersonating dentist Derek Bonds, Kevin keeps trying to get out of the house, but keeps getting pulled in before he can get away, all the while, the mob is looking left and right for Franklin. This is a hilarious and those who like Sinbad will LOVE this movie.
