Great lens despite all the negative reviews
Took a chance on this lens despite all the negativity. There may be sample variation so YMMV. My copy is sharp nearly all the way across from f4 up and I don't see any of the CA that is advertised. Perhaps the modern bodies have lens info baked into the newer bodies. Also I am using a 1.6x crop 7D -2 so I'm just using the juicy part of the lens. I also have a 17-85mm IS and think this is a lot better at 20 (plus a few stops faster). I like the lighter weight and sometimes I go out with just the 20mm. Not sure how to rate the Bokey, out of focus blurry areas. Like most photo gear you have to live with a lens for a few weeks until you can tell if you like it. I sure like my copy. Sharp, Small, and Stabilized
The only image stabilized 28mm lens ever made. It's very sharp wide open, and it's quite small and lightweight.
