I purchased one of these devices, just to see if the quality was better than the 12 USB power outlet that I owned. I was very happy with the 12 usb power outlet I had, and it had its outlets divided into (4) 5V 1.5A, (4) 2.5A, and (4) 3.5A services, allowing a person to select Heavy charge 3.5A, Fast charge 2.5A, or Standard charge. I loaded up my 12 usb Power outlet many times, with no failures or over heating. The new 20 usb Power outlet I received monitors each outlet, using current limiting, voltage limiting, and over voltage protection, to charge each device connected. It contains a small, quiet fan, to cool the charging electronics within, so they don't over-heat before their automated limiters kick in. During my tests, I loaded the 20 usb power outlet up with 3 Vintage ipods, 1 ... I purchased one of these devices, just to see if the quality was better than the 12 USB power outlet that I owned. Please note: the rated output of this device is 90 Watts, with a maximum of 100 Watts. It is not meant to charge your laptop or any device requiring 12VDC AND 5 VDC simultaneously, or any device(s) requiring more than 90 Watts.

Silent with a large capacity
This replaced a similar unit that has run for two years, but had a moderately loud fan that began to get really noisy. This unit? Completely silent! Even when more than a half dozen gadgets are actively charging, and another half dozen more are charged and "at idle". If it lasts, it will be an exceptional charger.
