It has good movement even if the individual keys don't move. That would be too much to ask. I love for nieces, and granddaughter to learn about the old days and good craftsmanship. Also love the values that can be taught such as the hard work my dad experienced as a young man in the Great Depression. He had a typewriter very much like this one and continued to use it to age 91 in 1995. I still have his original!
