    This safe is exactly as advertised. It holds a full-size 1911 45 ACP. The cable is practically indestructible. I looked it through the seat in my truck unlock the Box around it, it cannot be pulled loose. I would highly recommend this safe for anyone that travels with a firearm in their vehicle.

    Good Idea but inferior made to the Steel ones

    This Box is light weight and I like the grip on the bottom to keep from sliding but that's all I liked about it. I Believe this box would not keep your gun safe.The plastic hinges would be too easy to break in and steal the content inside.The box doesn't seal shut and leaves enough room for a screwdriver, knife ect to pry open. I sent this one back and purchased a Steel one
