Also included are updated uniforms, new player equipment, helmet stickers, new player-specific animations, and uniforms and helmets that show wear and tear as games progress. Franchise mode introduces over 100 changes, from expanded rosters to a free-agent bidding system, while the Superstar mode lets your star athlete earn skill points during practices and games.

A new dynamic player performance system finds an individual athlete's skills and confidence improving or deteriorating based on in-game performances. Better than 25

I've not spent much time with playing games...but that in which I have has shocked me in the differences of design and available modes. The best Madden game I've ever encountered was Madden 06. The Madden 12 is not as good for creation and modifying. The Madden 25 sucks compared to anything else...it is polarized mainly to online modes and forsakes past beauty of achievements in design. It appears to me that the designers of Madden are only adding and subtracting to claim "new" product...thus sucking money from consumers. The older 06 was my best experience.

  • Its a good game, but if you want to save a few bucks get Madden 11.

Madden has always had the "it" factor however upon playing the last 4 years of the game I can truthfully say that Madden 11 is much BETTER than Madden 12. The gameplay is better, 12 is missing that fun factor. It makes it seem like the game is moving much quicker/faster. Im not sure than the mechanics were correctly made in this version. Star players make mistakes a lot more. Only thing Madden 12 has better is obviously the roster/stats. Rookies from last year are more appropriately given stats. Other than that I would stick with 11. Oh one thing they removed that was in 11 that is not in 12. The Extra Point in Franchise mode, why? This for me gave it a more real feel. Much like ESPN NFL 2005 did before Madden took the exclusive NFL license.

  • it's the same old same old with some new good and bad stuff. 3.5 stars

It's your typical Madden football experience. There are a few new things. You can make your own play books, which is cool, but, the play books are all chaotically arranged when u go to use them. The franchise is much improved, and much harder to predict who will be good. It is almost impossible to spot steals later in the draft. U are drafting blind, and that is stupid. You should have some basics to see if they are worth taking or not. I am happy with this item, however, I look forward to the end of the monopoly next year when Madden will have competition.

  • Good game, buy it if you like good solid football.

I haven't bought a Madden game since Madden 2004. I've played the others but it just wasn't the same. This game is pretty good game. It reminds me of Madden 2004 a bit. They've changed a vast amount of things since 2011. The Franchise Mode is awesome, you can actually use your own custom playbook in this. It feels like your actually IN the game sometimes too. 4/5 because I hate the commentary. They seem to be repetitive in their speech. It gets annoying after a couple days.

  • An apparent focus on expediency over quality.

If you do something, I say you do it right to the best of your abilities. Too many parts of this game seem like they were just slopped together with very little thoughtfulness, if any. I think you're paying mainly for a 'new look' and updated rosters. I've been playing Franchise (only- so far) and the presentation is poor. I love the atmosphere of games and the crowd is dull here, barely changing unless there is a touchdown and then the stadiums aren't even full...so there isn't a great atmosphere I think...which was better in a version of Madden I bought a few years ago, so I don't know how they would regress. It's silly, also, when the computer is down by only 2 touchdowns but doesn't use their timeouts in the fourth quarter... :S I think EA Sports programmers are less focused on ...
