The Cobra Vedetta SLR 650G Radar/Laser/Camera Detector is the top of the line in Cobra's Ultimate Detection Systems Series. The Vedetta SLR650G has a vivid 2.4-inch TFT color LCD display with 6 user-selectable color themes and back-lit touch-point controls. The display is mounted on a multi-axis hinge for 60 degrees horizontal and 270 degrees vertical rotation. A ball-socket type suction cup mounting bracket allows you to mount the detector almost anywhere on the windshield or dash of your vehicle for added flexibility.

Cobra Vedetta 650G was well worth the wait... and the price!
OUTSTANDING is the word that comes to mind when I think about this fabulous Cobra Vedetta 650G. Yes, it's a great radar & laser detector, and so much more. I first purchased the Vedetta 500 model which is now in my girlfriend's car and it performs as well as this one but lacks several key features that I can now not live without! Not only does it warn of red light cameras, it tells you the direction the cameras are pointing (N-S or E-W). On top of that, it displays your speed (via GPS satellite connection) and even your car's voltage, which is great because my Celica doesn't have an in-dash voltage meter. It took me forever to get the winning bid on this model. They rarely come up on here, and when they do, the bidding is furious to put it mildly. I think my winning bid of $202.82 was a ... OUTSTANDING is the word that comes to mind when I think about this fabulous Cobra Vedetta 650G. Yes, it's a great radar & laser detector, and so much more. Well you don't need to know Russian to figure out how a radar detector works. In the case id this Cobra Vedetta SLR650 RU, it's a large unit. Gets a little hot during operation, but if you want to get advance notice from your local police shooting radar, THIS IS NOT the detector. The detection range is absolutely POOR. Known stationary traffic control speed devices are well within view before this unit signaled. Not to mention, the same effect when you see your patrol vehicle, too late, before to this Cobra unit alerts. Best unit Cobra built
This is the best gps enabled radar detector Cobra has ever built. It is all inclusive feature wise, has a large LCD screen, and was the last unit built before Cobra started offloading features to user's cellphone via Bluetooth(i.e. compass, gps, AURA database). This is why it is common to find used SLR650Gs' selling for more than their original price when new. It has excellent range, indicates minimal false alerts, and as long as the AURA database is kept up to date, gives current speed trap and red light camera locations.This is the best gps enabled radar detector Cobra has ever built. Being a non Russian speaker it can take some figuring out. I know that the highway mode is represented by a T and is pronounced siocca the city is like and upside down L and is pronounced gorad. East is B west is 3 and north is C and south l-0. The K and KA alerts are just that and are represented by the letters and a radar gun using a one to five scale. There is another warning sound that comes on frequently and ive not as yet figured out how to silence it and what its warning me of.
