This is a great little scanner. I have used/owned 4 different ones in the past, from those made to work with a full size scanner to 3 made to scan slides and film. The key things I really liked about this is that you could make adjustments to the brightness and/or color range of the slides before scanning. With all the various types of damage from film aging this was a great plus, even though I also use photo repair software. It also makes transferring the photos to your computer a snap; either all at once or one at a time. The nooks and crannies on this make it easy to hold and manipulate it as you are scanning even though it is a fairly small piece of equipment.

Kodak Slide N Scan does a very respectable job for the price. I scanned 35mm slides and then results is great viewing on a computer screen or large screen TV. Your can improve under exposed faces, but not much improvement for slides that were slightly over exposed. The process can be a little slow when you need to color correct, which is why I gave it a 4 instead of a 5. if needed I would buy this product again.

Look, the Kodak Slide N Scan is absolutely easy to use and you can digitize 140 slides in an hour. As to Color & Resolution it can vary from Great to Good. That said, it's easier to fine tune the digitized slides on your computer. I highly recommend this item for what it is. The Price is Right and it it's Extremely Easy to Use. With regards to Resolution & Color that depends on the state of the slides. Are the slides encased in paper or plastic and what is the thickness of the encasing medium? All of these variables affect these two parameters. I'm sure there are better digitizing devices that are 3-4 x as expensive and very complicated to use. I had over 5000 slides to do. Time is important to me.

This is the third scanner I bought. First two were junk and returned. This one seems excellent. It is easy to use, the pictures look good, and the instruction manual actually contains useful information.

It feels a little cheap--lots of plastic--but it gets the job done. Easy to use and the images transfer well and with good resolution onto the computer screen.
