I would recommend it.
I like the safety switch.. I feel it gives me control over the operation of the slicer. It slices very nicely. I have been using the Rival slicer for over 20 years. .Also, it does not take up a large storage space and its very lightweight and easy to move around.

I packed away my first one in our storage shed. Then my father in law past away and his things went in there. Next my mother past and hers things went in there. I couldn’t find my own cook ware. I sliced a 9 pound boneless ham into deli meat for the family. Not one problem. It cut fast and easy.
