I bought this razor as a gift for my Dad (my Mom keeps nagging him for missing shaving) he is 81 and these days reluctant to wet shave as he keeps cutting himself. He loves this electric shaver. Though, it's his first one, he tells me of it's ease of use and of the close shave it provides him. My Mom has stopped nagging him, so perhaps now he will turn his hearing aids back on :-) and we can all benefit.

The external packing was good and undamaged. This product gives a good close shave and is easy to clean. The shaver itself looked unused but the product box that it came in was old and and showed the signs of age and much handling. The battery is advertised as taking 8 hours to charge but and this should give about 1 week's shaving but it gives much less. By connecting the charger and leaving it connected during shaving gives an improvement. I will monitor any progress. The shaver came with a 2 year warranty that was accepted ok with Phillips. I will give it a month's trial and then decide what to do. I am not bothered abount the product box.

Very good shaver for not a lot of money. I already had one of these and it continued to serve me well and i bought this one as mine did not have the trimmer and probably could have done with some new blades although it still held a good charge. I can recommend this as it represents excellent value for money

I searched the web for a Philips mains shaver with trimmer and thought this model would be suitable. Unfortunately, after it arrived, I discovered it had to be disconnected from the mains to operate. I have used Philips razors for 50 + years and all have been able to operate whilst plugged into the mains. With this model I have to shave using the battery and then plug it into the mains to keep the battery topped up which is a nuisance.

it gives a good clean shave and Phillips is very reliable, i have used them for years and hope to do so in the future, it is a good shape for gripping while using it and easy to clean.
