What's there not to like about this RF 50mm f1.8? Like most normal lenses, it's fast, sharp, light and a bargain. I already own Canon's RF 50mm f1.2, so it's not as if I needed another lens of that focal length. But the f1.8 has a place in my photography because of the quality of the images it produces, especially when I don't need my much heavier f1.2, such as for travel. I purchased this lens for my recently acquired R6 marking my return into the hobby. This lens is light, fast focusing, sharp, and upholds Canon’s reputation for their “color science”. These features make it a great walk-around lens despite the disadvantage in versatility compared to the 24-70 2.8L which I also own. At less than $200, it’s a no-brainer and a must buy in my book!
