This quality Tokina AT-X PRO 11-16mm f/2.8 lens has a maximum aperture range of f/2.8 and a minimum aperture range of f/22. This Tokina lens for Nikon cameras has been specifically designed to be compatible with cameras featuring APS-C-size CMOS or CCD Sensors. It is a fast zoom lens that features an internal silent focusing AF motor. This feature is especially advantageous when shooting in low-light conditions, and it also helps in creating a shallow depth of field. This motor makes it possible for the lens to utilize the autofocus feature. It has an angle of view that ranges from 104 degrees to 84 degrees and can focus as close as 11.8 inches. It has nine diaphragm blades that help produce soft, out-of-focus backgrounds. It has two super-low dispersion glass elements and two aspheric elements. This helps to achieve great contrast, minimal chromatic aberration, and sharpness. Its aspherical shaped lens enables you to take sharp pictures.     Tokina 11-16 mm f2.8 DX II ATX Pro

    The Tokina 11-16 mm f2.8 DX II ATX Pro is a nice wide angle lens that allows you to fit the entire scene in one frame. I think the Tokina 11-16 mm f2.8 DX II ATX Pro works great for photo / video journalism and landscape photography. The Tokina 11-16 mm f2.8 DX II ATX Pro also makes a good vlogging lens if you have a way to stabilize the camera it is attached too.

    Exactly what I hoped for

    The lens is great, the build quality does not feel cheap and will last a long time as long as you're not intentionally beating it. The image at high apertures is really sharp but there is a lot of distortion and aberration when shooting wide open and at 11 mm. The focusing speed is quite fast but not good enough for sports or fast moving objects, the focusing motor is also really loud but gets the job done. The price is pretty expensive for a wide angle lens and a third party company but I think it was well worth it.

    Great lens for DX format

    The best ultrawide angle lens for DX format

    This is a beautiful lens! Used on my Nikon D7100, it produces breathtaking images! I got the lens, just in time to shoot fall colors and the results were truly awesome. Edge-to-edge sharpness that is the equal to Nikon's best and at a far more reasonable price! I also shot some sunrise scenics with it and the way it captures the subtle, delicate colors of morning is beautiful to behold. Tokina built a masterpiece with this one. I also found out, while goofing around with it, that the 16mm setting will work with my Nikon D600. It's a heavy lens, but very well built and focuses very quickly. This lens is a keeper! I would say this lens is the best value out there in ultrawide angle lenses!

    Excellent lens!

    Awesome lens! I got the DX II because it has an internal focusing motor for my Nikon D3200 and it works perfectly with it. The f2.8 gives me options I never had before and does well in low light. One really cool feature is the sliding focus ring that allows you to override what the camera thinks is in focus. Excellent lens!
