Charged batteries overnight and they were hot, and the green charged indicator was still red. Batteries are new Energizer rechargeable just like the ones in the description picture. I have attached a picture of the batteries and charger after the overnight charge.
Not sure what the problem is.

Well packed and arrived promptly. Thank you. Both units charge the batteries just fine, but the green lights that are supposed to turn on when the batteries have finished charging don't work on either unit. The red "charging" indicator lights all remain on from the time batteries are properly inserted till they are removed, so I have to check the batteries with a battery voltage tester upon removing them to be sure they are fully charged. Annoying but not impossible to live with.
