Low cost £30 Camera. So don't expect too much. It takes reasonable video and pictures and you can afford to lose or damage this one. Ideal for rough treatment e.i helmet cam on bike. Or just to use as a really cheap dash cam. Time marks can be switched on and off etc. Do not expect much from the XDV app either. You can change settings using the app, and you can view video on iPad but not android. Do not expect to transfer files to your phone, iPad or computer via WiFi. Dont even try to connect the camera to the computer via usb as this is a bit hit and miss too. However you can control the cam from your phone which is useful. You can start, stop, take pictures using your phone from a distance, good for that selfie of you climbing or walking. Or in another room I.e watching baby in the nursery to living room. The image is also displayed on the phone or iPad. The battery meter is vague so just leave on charge for a good couple of hours or overnight. It comes with a spare battery. It has features like slow mo and time lapse, so you can watch the sun come up and go down in one movie, or film a flower opening. Another feature it has is that it can be used as a dash cam. In camera setting set it to driving mode, and it will power up, record and shut down when power is sent via the power cable .A go pro is a 10x more expensive so I consider this good value for money if you have a PC. Download your video directly from the micro SD via a card reader. Any other way is futile. You WILL need a PC. or similar that can read and store files. It comes with a waterproof housing but this restricts sound to the microphone. There is a whole array of options supplied as hardware to fix your cam onto something, some are quick release. It all comes in a soft case. All you need to buy separately is a micro SD card class 10 or higher. Now a word on the wi-fi. This cam does not connect to the internet, it has its own WiFi hotspot for your phone or iPad to connect to, so you need to log your phone or iPad onto it like you would connect to your router or other WiFi hotspot. Once you have done this you can use the app which is very limited. You can change settings, start stop the camera and take pics, but don’t expect to move your files off the camera. Use a card reader on your computer. Now you know what to expect, you won’t be disappointed. N joyRead full review

You get what you pay for. Has lots of attachments, spare battery and the waterproof case that works pretty well. But the image quality is terrible. It’s very much of the quality of a 20 year old mobile phone. Very grainy regardless of setting. If you want a decent video/photo that you can actually see then you’re better off spending more and getting a go pro

First of all understand that this review is based on the cost/quality comparison of the camera. It cost under £30. The build quality is very good and all the component parts, waterproof housing, various connectors are exactly as you would expect and need for this and for those cameras that considerably more even into the hundreds. I have 3 similar cameras (I use them when cycling, Kayaking, coasteering and so on) and this is the best so far. The manual is in English and fairly straightforward but if you have used one of these before it's the same operation. One great point is that you get 2 batteries which is a massive plus if this is your only camera. Downside is that batteries have to be charged in the camera unless you own a separate charging base but that's a small point. So onto the video/picture. There a number of setting for the video but being honest I could not really visually differentiate one from another so have left it on the max setting. Same for stills. Remember video is MP4 so you might need to download an MP4 player - there free on the internet. I have NOT tried the Bluetooth aspect as I doubt I'll use it. I cannot agree that the video quality is ultra hd 4k but and again for the price it is perfectly acceptable. I shot 10 seconds of video using my desktop screen on the actual listing for the camera and was well able to read the entire listing on play back, same for a still shot of my desktop screen. With a 170 angle view there is the inevitable rounding of the image at the edges but that's a feature not a fault. So unless you really want pristine ultra hd 4k where you'll probably be paying in excess of a hundred quid this is a 100% recommended buy. It's going in the sea on the handle bars chucked in the back of the car so for under £30 it's a great buy.Read full review

I've been pleasantly surprised by this given the price, It's fairly easy to set up and getting the images loaded onto a laptop was easy too, the images are more than good enough to do the job. You can tell it's a cheaper device but that's inevitable given the price. Recommended.
