Beware of gps warranties. Save your money and buy a battery.
If the battery had double sided tape to prevent rattling it would be perfect. The battery holds a charge and my gps is working great. My original battery only lasted less than 3 years. I purchased a 2 year warranty, I think they knew the life of a Garmin gps battery.

Worth This Upgrade
Other than some difficulty opening my GPS to install this, it was a pretty fast installation. I fully charged it and ran it only off this battery all the way home and I had some battery left after a trip of 1 1/2 hours. Now, if I can only get the Garmin software to provide any kind of a sensible correct route, I'll have something that won't eat data like phone GPS. Note: Don't be surprised if you need a tiny Torx screwdriver once you get to the guts of your GPS. I have one, and the swap took about two minutes and would have been faster if Garmin hadn't taped the old battery inside so well.Other than some difficulty opening my GPS to install this, it was a pretty fast installation. Great high capacity battery.
Great high capacity battery for Garmin Drive Smart 50 (Costco Edition), better than OEM! Easy D.I.Y. quick installation. Now I only wish I could locate a source for the same battery for my second Garmin - Drive Smart 70 - nobody seems to have a replacement battery for that unit. Help!

Extended Battery Life
Replaced the OEM battery in my Garmin Nuvi 40 with this battery and immediately went from about an our to nearly two hours on a single charge. The only caveot to the replacement battery installation is to remove the micro-sd memory card before disassembling the case otherwise you will bend the memory card taking the outer case off and render it damaged. Very impressive battery uprade.
