I like the size of the watch so I can see it quickly without looking too closely. I have never had a smart watch before so probably not best placed to compare it to anything. I bought it for using cycling and also heart rate monitoring(HRM). I have used a chest based HRM beofre and they are really good for looking at the impact of relaxation mehtods, when you do a breathing exercise you can almost immdeiately see your HR fall . So I have my doubts about the accuracy of the watch, there sometimes seem a delay before either it falls due to a relaxation exercise or rises if I climb stairs etc. However its much more convenient than a chest based monitor. So overall I really like it and by just comparing it with itself its good but I probably would quite like to try a chest based monitor at the same time to see. Good battery life and overall seesm nice quality. I have downloaded the app onto my phone and thats handy too.Read full review

I’ve used the 230 with a chest strap for a few years and it never let me down. I wanted another one that I could wear all of the time with built in Heart Rate monitor. This 235 was cheaper than my recent FitBit (that I hated). I didn’t realise how much I would enjoy this watch until I started wearing it. It is feather light weight and has a very comfortable, durable and soft strap. It also looks great. It is not short of any functions and they all work faultlessly. HRM is accurate and GPS tracking is reliable. Has all of the ‘Health monitoring’ functions that you’d get on a FitBit but much more besides for serious exercise monitoring. Also, you can control your smartphone music from this watch which is very useful on the run. The Garmin Connect App is fairly comprehensive and well set out for obsessively scrutinising performance data. I love this watch and wear it constantly. I love it more than I thought I would.Read full review

Just what I wanted: a watch that can track my runs, including the route and my heart rate, so I don't need to carry my phone. Battery life good for this. I don't use the other features.

Easy to use; clear concise data. Finding the battery to drain quicker than the 5 day estimate on the product-spec, perhaps because of Bluetooth being on constantly. Connects quickly and smoothly with Motorola Android phone. Considering this is a 'renovated' product its performing very well so far.

Simple and easy to use on the whole though I don’t bother with notifications. Linked into Strava quite nicely. GPS is way more accurate than my iPhone 11 which sadly means I’m now seeing truer times ( having validated against other runners devices ).
