About this product

Product Information

Passive panda Po relinquishes his slovenly ways to fulfill an ancient prophecy and defeat a sinister snow leopard in this adaptation of DreamWorks' Kung Fu Panda. The video game version is a 3D platform game that has Po navigating 13 hazard-filled, multi-tiered levels. Animal enemies are defeated using an array of paw-to-paw moves, from spinning kicks to body slams to bowling over foes by tucking into a ball. Po's agility will also be put to the test, whether it's swinging from tree limbs or leaping across lily pads. Players can even control Po's menagerie of friends, who specialize in distinct kung-fu styles and offer character-specific talents. Monkey, Tigress, Viper, Crane, and Mantis are all playable throughout the adventure. In addition to the single-player game, Kung Fu Panda includes cooperative play and a variety of competitive mini-games.

  • Kung Fu Panda--Sha Sha Booey!!

My four year old loved the movie Kung Fu Panda and we just recently bought a Wii system so when it came time to think about some games this came to mind. After playing the game awhile, it became clear that his age limited his ability to coordinate some of the moves required in the game but he still loves to be involved and guide me through the adventure. There are a lot of varied chapters in the story which really extends the amount of choices and types of challenges you can choose from. One drawback is that multiplayer mode is only available for a separate set of games and not the main storyline. This has been fun to explore more as my four year old's skill level has progressed. I fear that soon I will be defeated everytime we play. The graphics are pretty good and the menus are nicely ...

  • Good game, but not intended for kids younger than 10 years.

My 9 year old loves the movie, characters and games. The Wii game of Kung Fu Panda 1 is fun, very recognizable plot and lines from the movie, good progression of controller skills. He has been playing it for a few days and gets "stuck" on a few training levels, not able to advance, having to look up hints and solutions on YouTube :) I see why they recommend 10+ on this game due to animated violence and difficulty of game. As the movie has a PG rating and is obviously geared towards a younger audience, I am a little disappointed that the Wii (and DS) game is made for the older kids.

  • Kids love it!

My daugher really got into playing Kung Fu Panda World on net but couldn't play past a certain level without paying so I got her this for Christmas for her Wii. She is 10 years old and she and my 7 year old daughter and 40 year old husband all love it and has played it quite a bit since she got it. I'm not much of a gamer myself but they certainly seem happy with the purchase.

  • Pretty decent kids game

OK, so the graphics aren't anything to write home about (what else is new with a multi-platform release on the Wii). And the story/gameplay is pretty redundant. But my 7 year old loved the movie, loves a good action game, and this fits the bill for both. It's straight-forward enough that he's needed little help with figuring out what to do next, but challenging enough to keep him occupied. The upshot is that this gives him the action without being overly violent or dark like many of the superhero games out there. Compared to the TMNT game, this one pales, but on its own merits its worth a pick up if you've got a young gamer at home.
