Good DVD player
Like the down mix function, it takes Dolby Digital, and outputs Pro Logic to compatible receivers. I also like that it can play CDVs, not all that common on DVD players anymore but it doesn't cost the manufacturer any more to include it as a feature. The only thing I don't like about it is that it can't play MP3s, other than that it's really nice. works well. I also like the extra set of A/V outputs that Sony added on the back, I'm no using em but if you ran one set straight to the TV and the other set through an A/V receiver that could potentially be useful for some.Like the down mix function, it takes Dolby Digital, and outputs Pro Logic to compatible receivers. Excellent piece of electronics!
I really like Sony products and needed a DVD player to complete my component system. I wanted one of similar vintage to the rest of my system and this unit met that criteria as well as being reasonably priced to boot. It came with the remote, but the master remote with my surround sound amp also works with this so that all my components will work with one remote. Along with the turntable that I recently purchased I now have a complete system.I really like Sony products and needed a DVD player to complete my component system. I wanted one of similar vintage to the rest of my system and this unit met that criteria as well as being reasonably priced to boot. It came with the remote, but the master remote with my surround sound amp also works with this so that all my components will work with one remote. Along with the turntable that I recently purchased I now have a complete system.
