You can store more than 10,000 songs on the built-in 40GB hard drive. This is a 4th generation iPod that helped set the standards for all types of MP3 player technology. Accessing the music and menus on the iPod is done through the patented Apple click wheel. The click wheel features easy navigation through song shuffle, volume, pause, play, and quick menu access buttons. Song titles, artists, and playlists are all controlled via the 2-inch LED screen. The screen has backlighting that can help to illuminate the text in any visual setting. The design of this iPod is a sleek and classic white. The back of the product features a chrome finish, which adds extra style and design. The small size and weight make it easy to place in pockets or bags for listening to music on the go. The Apple iPod classic features a USB connection cable that is used for music transfers and charging. A built-in battery can play music for 12 continuous hours before it needs to be charged again. The standby battery mode on the MP3 player is good for up to 30 days before charging is needed. The Apple company has built the MP3 device to work with the iTunes software applications. When plugged in, all of the MP3 data is accessible through the computer. Folders can be created, and music can be synced so that songs are automatically loaded. Along with MP3 files, the Apple iPod classic is compatible with a wide range of audio formats. You can upload WAV, AAC, and AIFF files to the product. AIFF files or lossless quality files offer pristine sound when using the product. These files can be downloaded directly from the Apple iTunes store and uploaded to the iPod model. There is a standard headphone jack available on this 4th generation Apple iPod. This allows you to plug in headphones or another device that uses the same type out output cord.
