Awesomeness: - Instruction: thorough, clear, *quite* useful. Answers a couple of questions even if you had none =) - As promised, compact and saves heat great: it is an inch shorter than a couple of 0.5 L thermoses I have. If you brew it 'a bit hotter than comfortable', three hours later it still feels the same - Very comfortable thanks to its mouth. Plus, filled up it feels safer than a plastic bottle: it does not let out more than you drink - Absolutely leakproof: I tried shaking it hard a couple of minutes and keeping it upside down for hours -- it stayed absolutely dry - The button has a lock - So it is perfectly safe to carry in a bag *unless is has fluid in its lid* Things to keep in mind (!): - Do not close the lid right after a sip [1]. Let the air you have just let in warm up / cool down -- otherwise it will build up some pressure. In the case of warm drinks the pressure is positive and may spit some liquid when you open the lid. Take your time watching the liquid drain =) - Be careful when you swing the lid open: the plug on the lid always collects a drop of liquid and catapults it in a random direction Conclusion: I am happy about it: pleasant to use, easy to clean. The drawbacks listed here should be relevant for all thermoses with this stopper construction and are easily avoidable, so they do not bother me much

Bought these mainly for the true sealing cap. The travel mugs we’ve used to date prevent sloshing, but a drop or tip-over did leak. These insulate well (still had ice 17 hours after filling) and will not leak even if held upside down. The locking mechanism is great because I did drop it once and it landed on the release button and opened, so now I carry it locked. A little bit pricey, but well worth it. I would pick this if I went missing on an isolated island.
I literally browsed the whole internet in search of the best insulated mug, and this one came as result. It's light, it's small, yet I can carry up to 20 oz (4-5 Coffee Cups aprox). Your coffee will stay hot longer than you need. Your cold liquids even longer. The cap is simply clever, the lock works, no matter what. The spout pours like heaven. I would totally buy one again.
