Lots of fun but breaks quickly.
My niece (4 years old) got one of these for Christmas last year and my son (age 2) loved it, then hers broke after about 7 months and they were both sad so I decided to buy them 2 new ones. I got my son a blue one and my niece a pink one. They had a great deal of fun playing the video games and taking pictures of my grandmother for about a month, then my son's broke. Grey screen of death, won't take pictures, won't play games; same as my niece's previous one (though her pink one still works). They did not drop them or abuse them, and changing the batteries did not help; the second one did break almost immediately after I put an SD card in it so maybe that had something to do with it? Anyhow, enjoy, but it won't last long. Cute Kiddie cam
I bought this cam for my nephew's 6th birthday. Don't expect AMAZING shots, it is definitely a TOY but it is cute and appropriate for a young child. It makes him feel like a big boy because he can connect it to the computer and upload the pics just like the grown-ups can. The pic quality is that of a pretty good cellphone camera, it is only 3 Megapixels. you can buy a standard SD card so that your kid can take a lot of pics because it only comes with 16MB of internal memory. Also it has games which is pretty cool and you can connect it to your TV using regular RCA ( "red, white and yellow" ) cables - included with the cam. This allows you to display the games on the TV screen and use the cam like a game controller. DOWNSIDE .. the games look sort of Atari-esque (if you can catch my ... Pixie Camera
Camera is wonderful. 5 year old daughter loves to use it. Great and easy to use functions. Now she can take her own pictures. Everything on it is awesome. The screw on battery feature is wonderful. She can drop it and the back doesn't pop off. Very sturdy camera.

Great starter camera
I got this for my 5-Y-O grandaughter to let her get started in photography. The 3.0MP resolution was a major factor vs. the 0.3MP or 1.3MP provided by similar kid-friendly cameras. While the Pixie is still in a two-handed form factor it has enough resolution for her to take moderately serious pictures. The Pixie isn't waterproof but is fairly rugged. The low price means I don't worry about loss or damage so much and let her concentrate on learning the basic principles of taking good pictures.I got this for my 5-Y-O grandaughter to let her get started in photography. Nice starter digicam for small children
The Pixie has very clear pictures for a low megapixel camera. The flash is very bright and will wash colors out. The colors are nicely saturated and true. It's very sturdy. The only con I have with this camera is that you have to screw off the battery cover to replace the batteries. That's a pain. I bought this camera because of it's sturdiness and low price!
