these nicgiga cards work great, they are build well and don't overheat if put into a resoanbly well ventilated chassis, and in my experience these AQC107/113C chipset from marvel are far more stable at even longer ranges than intels equivalent x550 or x710(idk if the x710 can do 5gb or 2.5gb) but these can do a wider range of speeds than the similarly priced older x540 chipset, and at this price It would be difficult to find a beter alternative, much appreciated
