Rock Band: Country Track Pack is a stand-alone release that allows gamers to play along with contemporary country-rock hits, using their Rock Band instrument controllers and equipment. The game features familiar Rock Band modes such as "Quickplay," "Solo," "Duel," and "Band Tour," with a progression of increasingly difficult tunes that are unlocked through skilled play. As in other Rock Band collections (and earlier rhythm-action games from developer Harmonix), play involves pressing buttons in time with the music, as directed by colored symbols that scroll outward and down the screen. Hitting the correct controller buttons at the correct times allows players to perform their instrument's part in the song. Focusing on crossover popularity, the Country Track Pack features 21 well-known songs from the borderlands where rock & roll meets country-western, including "Good Time" from Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn's "Hillbilly Deluxe," "Sin Wagon" by the Dixie Chicks, Kenny Rogers' "The Gambler," and Lucinda Williams' "Can't Let Go."

    Should be named Modern Country

    Has a few songs the music guru such as myself have never heard of! Good mixture but less than 5 songs by women, all newer artists (90's & up)! Needed more songs & more variety spanning the time frame they have. THey now need an outlaw country, women of country, modern (which this is mostly), oldies, etc. But all in all worth the money. My kids love it! They could have just done more in the lines of selecting the songs. The songs they included are all good but they could have been choosier in my opinion. We love all genres of music but this was a must have in our house. We have all the games of rockband and guitar hero out at this time and this ranks toward the top! Hope this helps!

    Rock Band Country Track Pack is great.

    I enjoy country music and this PS2 game has a great selection. Have grown to love Satellite Radio song on it which I had not heard of before. Many great artists in a clean presentation without all the heavy crap imaging cult stuff that the Guitar Hero series kept using over and over again. The format used for the playing is quite similar to the GH series of streaming colored notes to play and perhaps more of the songs are a bit easier, but not all, and just enjoyable lyrics to listen to for one that enjoys country. Only bad news is that apparently the Country Track Pack 2 will not be released on PS2, but only the newer Wii, PS3, and XBox. Argggg. Other bit of bad news is that I could have bought this on sale at Wal Mart for less than I won my bid for. But still well worth it as far as the ...
