Good old fashioned portable radio
The Panasonic RF-2400 has adequate reception on FM. I do not even need to raise the antenna for the powerful local stations. Unfortunately, in large cities many low power and translator stations have been squeezed in between the high power FMs. This radio can only bring those in if they are far enough on the dial from the strong stations. The AM section is very good. I get everything on AM in my area and at night can get many of the high power distant stations from several states away. The sound quality is also impressive for a radio this size. It is no "boom box" but quite pleasing for the kitchen or workroom. The Panasonic RF-2400 has adequate reception on FM. Very disappointed!
Has loud background hum when plugged in to 110v. . Am,FM pickup is weak. .antenna does not swivel ,no stereo jack, The dial display is just a suggestion,no dial light. No power on light. Speaker sound distorts when turned up. Radio looks great feels like quality build but very disappointed when I began to use it. I feel like I wasted my money . very disappointed!

So easy to use and just what we were looking for - a radio you could tune and it stayed tuned and has excellent sound. No background stations bleeding in or static. On/off switch is easy to use. Sits up on the refrigerator for morning listening. Perfect!

Great looking little radio with a quality feel to it. The dial is very easy to read. It picked up my favorite, very distant, very hard to get radio station with the antenna down, and with the antenna extended the sound was even better. Nice speaker quality. I am glad I bought it.
