Wonderful, well built, quality reel
Excellent, well built reel right out of the box. My reel repair person states that the Shimano Trekota is the only reel he recommends NOT opening up to remove excess grease before use. He states they are perfect right from the factory. Minimal maintanence required, just an all around great product. Highly recommended.

Best line counter reel!
I have owned and used many different line counter reels for Striper fishing. I use the a lot fishing usually twice a week all year long. I normally get 1 to 1.5 years out of them before they start having issues. I feel confident these will last much longer. This reel is by far the best reel I have ever used in every aspect. Extremely smooth drag. The 500 series holds plenty of line yet still very compact. I will be replacing all my other line counters with these as needed.I have owned and used many different line counter reels for Striper fishing.
