I'm so pleased with the condition of my item. The seller had the item packaged so well that there was no way it could be damaged unless a machine crushed it. I contacted the seller with a question and received a response so quickly that I was able to complete my purchase within minutes of asking. Great seller, quick delivery and great packaging!!!

    Simple old school GPS.

The 200 models are older units. Most date back 2007-2009 give or take. They are simple to use and get the job done. The only draw back is they did not come with free map up dates back then. So most units will have 2007-2009 maps loaded. Unless some one paid and loaded updated maps from Garmin. Which one can do if they want to invest in an older GPS unit. Other than that most people probably use them as they are. Dealing with the small errors that come up with older maps. These units are readily avail used, and are fairly cheap. I have 3 of them in different vehicles 2 I bought new(2008),and 1 I bought used(2017).

You get what you pay for.

It lacks features of newer Garmins and takes a while to connect to available satellites. That being said, it works and is much cheaper than a current generation Garmin.

  • Garmin Nuvi 200w car gps receiver

I think it's a good gps unit for the car. It's simple to put in the address and overall easy to use. It tells you when a turn is coming with the arrow pointing on the street. It does not speak the street name. It reroutes quickly if you miss a turn. I prefer the map of the Nuvi 200w over my 255w. It does a good job of getting you where you want to go.The unit I bought was basically new and has worked perfect from the first time I tried it out. The voice that guides it is a little mechanical but really a non issue. It's not like I will be having a conversation with it.

  • i just got one here on ebay!!!

well it is my first one so i don't have much 2 compare it to although i fell in love with gps when i used my friends van he had a garmin 350 in it, the 200 wide i have seems to be just as good and it has a wider screen. i'v seen reviews were there saying that it takes up to 15 min for the thing to start tracking satellites well i haven't found that to be true! as soon as i turn it on its ready to go!!! so far i really like it, I'm a service guy in az and i would have a hard time finding places sometimes but not anymore. although it has told me the wrong side of the street ones or twice...

  • Great Nav unit!

I already had Garmin Street Pilot 330's in my other two vehicles. I certainly like the wider screen on the Nuvi; it lets me see a bigger picture and alternate routes, plus other nice features. The calculator is handy, but don't relly feel that the world time feature is all that useful. I like the design of the Nuvi, but not that the power cord plugs into the unit itself, instead of the power cradle like the 330. Makes is more awkward to quickly pull it down to type in an address.
