Hong Kong intrigue!
Awesome Sauce. AS Hong Kong resident, I really enjoy anything filmed there (and in Macau), plus written by James Clavell? This wes a mini series I missed at first, but am enjoying now. All the characters are great, the acting is good, the local actors are great, Enoying every minute of it so far.

Dated, but good mini-series
This was an attempt to generate another blockbuster mini-series by the same author that started the whole mini-series craze with Sho-Gun. On the whole, it still works. While not as intriguing as Sho-Gun, it opens up the culture and atmosphere of Hong Kong. As with all film or TV treatments, it is a pale shadow of the book, but it is visually interesting and tells a good story. At times it seems a bit stilted and doesn't flow as smoothly as I would have liked, but overall it is an enjoyable view.This was an attempt to generate another blockbuster mini-series by the same author that started the whole mini-series craze with Sho-Gun.
