Praise for Killing Lincoln "If Grisham wrote a novel about April 1865 . . . It might well read like Killing Lincoln."- Newsweek "[ Killing Lincoln ] delivers a taut, action-packed narrative with cliff-hangers aplenty."- The Christian Science Monitor Praise for Killing Kennedy "Immersively written . . . Mr. O'Reilly and Mr. Dugard succeed in investing a familiar national tragedy with fresh anguish . . . A powerful historical précis."-Janet Maslin, The New York Times " Killing Kennedy not only illuminates history but makes it accessible."- Wall Street Journal

Informative exciting read for busy people

Bill is a fantastic author for non-academics. Easy to retain content and very informative. Reads like a fun novel not a text book or primary source.

  • Written in modern language an account of Jesus life and death.

I bought this book in order to read in modern language an account of Jesus life while he lived on earth, and the circumstances surrounding his death. The Bible is hard for me to read because of the language of the time as written by different people that lived back then. This book relays events in history is a manner that is easier for me to read. I catch myself re-reading some passages in order to sort out the people that lived then, how they interacted with Jesus, the political system and the religious customs of that time. I was a little put off by the title, "Killing Jesus", as it may be interpreted by some as disrespectful to Jesus, although I do not think Mr. O'Reilly meant any disrespect. This book is to me a historical resource for learning more about Jesus and why he was ...

  • This book gives great detail of the events leading up to and including Jesus' death.

All of the Bill O'Reilly "Killing" series of books are great. I like that he took on a topic that is difficult because of such a lack of information about Jesus' life. There was approximately a 20-year gap of history of what Jesus did from the time he was an early teen-ager until he was in his early 30's. However, the book gave a great historical review of Jesus life and the difficult time of his death.

  • Killing Jesus

Riveting Book. Once you start you can't put it down. Learned More historical Fact about Jesus and the connections between the Jewish church the Roman Empire than from any other book i've read.

  • The life and times of Jesus.

Unlike what we read in the Holy Bible, this book was obviously thoroughly researched from ancient writings. There was much more information about the life in the Middle East in the time of Jesus and his followers. Much of what I read about those times was information I had never read about before. It was extremely interesting to read about the Romans, and also about the Jewish hierarchy in those days.
