    20 Years and Still Sound GREAT!

    Hard to believe, but I have had this speaker setup for TWENTY YEARS and multiple computers. The sound you can get from them is amazing! There are probably newer setups that will blow you away but for a lot more money than I paid for these way-back-when. I only just discovered that there is a black connector I am not using which I am going to experiment with on my current PC's sound card. But basically the only issues you may have is crackling from the old-school connectors. Just clean them off to make sure there's no dust to interfere with a clean connection. Also, you shouldn't put the volume up too loud on the speakers themselves (on top of one of the satellite units). I suggest leaving that setting about half way to discourage overloading them via the PC volume.

    One of the best sounding speaker systems ever...

    I first came across this HK speaker system several years ago at a big box electronics store where they had a whole palette of them by the front door as a special. My impression was that they were a factory closeout special. The price was right and I liked the styling, so I bought several of them (one for me and a couple for friends). I hadn't expected much, only that they would be adequate for computer sound listening. Well, they absolutely blew me away. They're just about the best-sounding computer speakers I've ever heard. Smooth, broad frequency response and clear, crisp extended low bass - not at all a dull monotonal thump like so many "subwoofers" with speakers systems. I can't imagine why HK discontinued them. The only thing I can think of is that the L&R speakers are a little tippy ...

    Harman Kardon HK695 Computer Speakers

    Harmon Kardon HK695 computer speakers are by far the best computer speakers I've ever heard. I mostly use my computer for listening to music and watching movies and these speakers deliver great sound and bass for doing both. I actually bought these speakers for a friend because he's been bugging to buy mine ever since he first heard them. I have and still would highly recommend this setup to anyone who wants good sound quality out of there computer for any reason....

    AWESOME SET OF SPEAKERS!!!

    I got a great price and an AWESOME set of speakers. I had already owned a set of these and had them for nearly 15 years before I finally blew one of the speakers out. (even then, they still sound great unless I turn them full blast) These are phenomenal speakers! It's just a shame that the company doesn't make them anymore. THESE SPEAKERS ROCK THE HOUSE! I would recommend them to anyone that wants some nice, clear sounding-pounding speakers for their PC. :)
