  • An adorable book about some pesky rabbits

In this fantastic kids' book about a group of rabbits who won't leave Mr. McGreely's garden alone, he struggles and struggles to find a way to beat the rabbits. Every night, though, they seem to outsmart him and soon he is out of vegetables. Finally, he learns his lesson and builds a huge wall. The rabbits hop away, and he ends up with a lot of veggies to eat. The book is really cute because of the contemporary use of illustrations. In it, the pictures are spread out on the page and mixed with the text. In addition, the mixed media make for exciting visuals in the book. The book is cute and fun to read, and kids love it. It's funny, too. Although the author built up to a large climax, the rabbits simply hop away when they face the huge wall. It's cute.

  • Muncha! Muncha! Muncha!

After hurricane IKE, I received a call from a friend who is organizing a book drive to help restock the school libraries and personal bookshelves of the children in Galveston. She asked if I could collect books from my friends and neighbors. I started with my best friend. She sat her three young children down and asked them how they would feel if all their favorite books were suddenly gone because of a hurricane. Their faces dropped and then the oldest, a spry seven year old, said "I know, we can give them some of ours". So they went to their bookshelf and started picking out books they thought the children in Galveston would like. Muncha, Muncha, Muncha was one of them. "This will make them all laugh" said the five year old and she began reading it me. She knew the story by heart. I ...

  • Refreshing and Delightful!

I love this book because unlike Dumbo and Rudolph the Rednose Reindeer, this book doesn't teach my kids they have to be useful to others to be special. It's just a fun, creative, and very entertaining book about a man trying to grow a garden and silly, tenacious rabbits! What a treat! I would buy this for any kid. I bought it because we got it in a Cheerios box, and I need a more durable version. Hooray for Candace Fleming!

  • Fun story

Great book to teach moral of the story.
